Astranata
Privacy
Last updated June 28, 2026
Astranata is built to need as little about you as possible. Here is exactly what we keep, why, and what control you have.
What we collect
- Your declaration. The goal text and its date. This is public and permanent by design.
- Your email, only if you give it. It is optional. We use it solely to send you your private link and any reminders you ask for. It never appears on the wall and we do not use it for anything else.
- A fingerprint of your private link. We store a one-way hash of it, never the link itself. If you also gave an email, we keep an encrypted copy of the link so we can resend it to you, and nothing more.
- A hashed IP address. When you post or report, we keep a one-way hash of your IP, never the address itself, to limit spam and to avoid counting the same report twice. These rows expire and are deleted automatically.
What we do not do
No accounts. No advertising or third-party tracking. No selling of data. Ordinary visitors are not given tracking cookies; the only cookie we set is a sign-in session for site operators.
Service providers
A declaration's text is sent to an automated moderation service to screen it before it is posted. If you provide an email, a delivery provider handles sending it. These providers process the data only to perform those tasks.
How long we keep things
Published declarations are part of a permanent public record and are kept indefinitely. Email and reminder details are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to erase your entry. Hashed rate-limit rows are short-lived and purged automatically.
Your choices
- Stay fully anonymous. Do not provide an email, and we hold nothing that identifies you.
- Stop reminders anytime. Every reminder email has an unsubscribe link.
- Erasure. You can ask us to erase your declaration. We delete its text and any contact details, and keep only its fingerprint, a one-way code that was already published and cannot be turned back into the original words. That lets the public chain stay verifiable without keeping your content. This is the honest middle between a permanent record and your right to be forgotten.
Children
Astranata is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Requests and contact
For an erasure request, an unsubscribe you cannot complete yourself, or any privacy question, email hello@astranata.com. You can read how the record itself works on the FAQ and verify pages.
